2023 Acura RDX

If you are in the market for a new SUV, you'll find you have plenty of options. These substantial vehicles offer expansive interior space as well as the latest technology. Finding the right fit for your needs requires a bit of research, but some models, such as the new RDX, stand out among the rest. Learn about the 2023 Acura RDX, and discover its most exciting features.

Trim Levels

With five trim levels to choose from, it's easy to find the exterior features you want. The base-level RDX comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, heated outboard mirrors, and LED auto on/off headlights. Add the optional Technology Package to augment the wheels with a metallic pewter finish. The RDX A-Spec pushes the SUV's exterior features further with 20-inch alloy wheels and a Sport Appearance Package that comes standard at this trim. The RDX with Advance Package focuses mostly on interior upgrades, but you do get rain-sensing wipers for your convenience. Finally, the RDX A-Spec with Advance Package is the ultimate version of the RDX, as it sports power-folding outboard mirrors and a black headliner.

Engine

Under the hood of the RDX, you'll find just one engine option, but it has all the power this SUV needs. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is turbocharged to produce an impressive 272 horsepower with 280 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and functions using your choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Performance

The RDX's performance is impressive. If you're interested in towing, this SUV offers a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds when properly equipped. The acceleration has much to offer too, as the RDX can travel from a stop to 60 mph in just 6.4 seconds. If you want the extra control of all-wheel drive, it's available on all trim levels and standard on higher trim levels. Plus, the RDX can be outfitted with an advanced Adaptive Damper system that's retuned for the 2023 model year, offering more control and drive modes. For example, you can switch to Sport Mode for a more responsive driving experience.

Interior

In terms of space, the RDX's interior doesn't disappoint. You'll find 42 inches of legroom in the front, while your rear passengers can enjoy 38 inches of legroom in the second row. If you plan to carry cargo, the RDX offers 29.5 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, which expands to 58.9 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded down. Integrated technology comes standard and includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Safety Features

Drive with peace of mind knowing the RDX has some of the most advanced driver assistance features. The AcuraWatch suite of driver assistance technology comes standard on all packages and includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward collision warning with automated emergency braking. Plus, the RDX earned a full five stars for its overall safety rating based on testing conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
