2023 Acura TLX

The 2023 TLX has an angular grille with the Acura symbol in the center, a lower grille, a sculpted hood, sculpted sides, and narrow, angular headlights. Six trim levels are available: TLX, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, Type S, and Type S Performance Wheel & Tire. The base TLX comes with a power moonroof, daytime running lights, heated side mirrors with turn signals, an acoustic windshield, 18-inch wheels, and 5.3 inches of ground clearance. With the A-Spec and Advance, you'll also get LED fog lights. The Advance, Type S, and Type S Performance Wheel & Tire have puddle lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a windshield wiper de-icer, and power-folding side mirrors. A spoiler is standard with the A-Spec and both Type S trims. The Technology, Advance, and A-Spec trims have 19-inch wheels, and the Type S trims include 20-inch wheels and quad exhaust.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine provides 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Both Type S trims have a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 that produces 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. With both options, you'll get a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for the steering wheel. An idle stop system shuts off the motor when you pause in traffic to conserve fuel but keeps systems such as the air conditioner working. The TLX, Technology, and A-Spec trim levels come with front-wheel drive. Super Handling All-Wheel Drive is optional with the A-Spec and standard with higher trims.

The TLX has excellent acceleration and a smooth, responsive ride. You can choose from comfort, normal, individual, and sport or manual driving modes. The Type S trims include sport+ mode as well. The Advance, Type S, and Type S Performance Wheel & Tire trim levels have an adaptive damper system that adjusts the suspension according to road conditions for better handling and a smoother ride.

Standard interior features include leatherette seats, 12-way power front seats with lumbar settings, heated front seats, folding rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control with humidity control, keyless entry, push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls, and ambient lighting. You'll also get an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 12-volt power outlet, a 10-speaker sound system with speed-sensitive volume control, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 7-inch multi-information display, and a 10.2-inch driver information display. With the A-Spec and higher trims, wireless charging is standard. The Advance comes with heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, wood trim, and a 10.5-inch head-up display. The Advance and higher trims have 16-way power front seats.

The TLX comes with many advanced safety features, including automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, lane departure mitigation, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assistance that can stop, start, and steer in low-speed traffic. Forward collision warning, braking assistance, a rear camera with multiple views, traction control, hill start assistance, stability assistance, and a security system with an electronic immobilizer are also standard.
